I miss this place. I was a student at SFA in late 80's and worked at J&L Liquor off Main St. We would trade beer for "Tasty Cheddar Burgers" with these boys. That was back when they worked at their old location on Mound Street (I think it was Mound) in '88 and '89. Good times for sure and great food!

Danny and I had fond memories of the location on Mound St. It is great how you were able to expand to the location now on North St. Congratulations to a great business with great food... definitely the best burger in town and cheese balls. I immediately asked for sausage from Butcher Boy's. I just finished grilling and eating some hot links he brought back. Man I miss this place. As an alumni of SFASU, I can honestly say this place is like one of the top 5 things I miss about being in Nacogdoches. Your Bar-B-Q baked potato is truely mind blowing. Needless to say I miss a lot of things in Texas and by far Butcher Boy's is top on that list. Anyway, you can ship me a potato here to Atlanta,GA (just joking). Dropped off my daughter for SFA orientation this morning and searched for burgers in Nacogdoches. I am sitting under a shade tree around the corner texting pictures and telling my people about the BEST burger I have EVER had! Seriously y’all. I just quit my job in Houston and rented a U-Haul. If my wife and kids don’t want to move … oh well! grin

One of one of my favorite restaurants in Nacogdoches since my arrival here just over a year ago. Everything has been so wonderful that I have tasted. Along with the friendly service at all time. However the reason I am a lifelong customer is the Hot Sausage. No one in Texas has Hot Sausage that I am accustomed to from New Orleans. I purchase your Hot Sausage by the pounds. Thank you for being such a great Butcher and Chef.

My special memory was the Chicken Fried Steak. My daughter went to SFA, and I was visiting and she said we need to go to Butcher Boys, and I said absolutely. I got the CFS, plate and I must tell you, the only CFS I had that I could cut with a plastic fork and it was thick and delicious CFS. Since she has been gone, I miss going to Butcher Boys, but I will make a road trip from Frisco, Texas to eat again.

They have amazing large spicy sausages. Thick, tight, ready to burst, and the juices will run down your chin when you slide one of these big boys into your mouth. It doesn't get better than this!
